NutriSource’s Grain-Free Lamb Meal & Peas Formula is an all-life-stages dry dog food that is specifically formulated for puppies who will mature to, and dogs who have matured to, fifty or more pounds. This diet has moderately restricted, balanced levels of fat, protein, calcium, and phosphorus to control growth rates and prevent skeletal health issues. This food features lamb sourced from the USA, Australia, and New Zealand and wild-caught salmon; lamb is rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, and salmon provides an abundant source of anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids. Peas provide protein, fiber, and low-glycemic carbohydrates; low-glycemic carbohydrates help to stabilize blood sugar levels and prevent excess weight gain. This diet has slightly fewer calories per cup than NutriSource’s other grain-free, large-breed diets, making this a good option for large breed dogs who are overweight or who gain excess weight easily.
