Holiday Shopping Spree
Gifts are part of what makes the holidays so fun, and our Holiday Shopping Spree campaign aims to help bring joy to shelter animals. 100% of your contributions are gifted to participating animal shelters and rescues and go toward purchasing healthy food and necessary supplies from Pet Food Express for the adoptable pets in their care.
Last year we raised over $371,000 to help California shelters and rescues give their adoptable animals a happy holiday. This year, from 11/27/23 to 12/31/2023, we’ll be collecting funds for 112 of our most active and impacted partners from all over California. With your help we hope to reach our goal of $400,000! To kick things off, Pet Food Express will be contributing $25,000. No matter what level of commitment is right for you, we’d love your help.

How Your Contributions Help
Once the campaign has ended and contributions are distributed, our partners will be able to choose to shop in Pet
Food Express stores with gift cards or place orders directly from our warehouse, to get the supplies they need to
care

Shelter & Rescue Spotlight
The Holiday Shopping Spree funds have made a huge impact on the animals at Oakland Animal Services! The funds have been used to purchase much-needed supplies such as treats, enrichment toys, cat scratchers, leashes, and collars. All the animals, staff, and volunteers at Oakland Animal Services are so grateful!

Other than medical - food, litter, and general supplies are our largest expense in caring for both our long- term sanctuary residents and our adoptable pets. Shopping Spree funds have had an enormous impact on reducing our out-of-pocket costs for these items, allowing us to increase our rescue and adoption activities - in other words, save more animals!

*All customer contributions to the Pet Food Express Holiday Shopping Spree 2023 campaign plus the $25,000 Pet Food
Express kick-off donation will be distributed to eligible participating nonprofit rescues and shelters in one of two
ways, according to the recipient organization’s choice: Pet Food Express gift cards or credit for orders from the
Pet Food Express warehouse. Recipient organizations may choose to re-gift any portion of their shopping spree funds
to another participating organization. After 1-year, any unused credit may be re-distributed to other participating
organizations based on need, at Pet Food Express’s reasonable discretion. Online contributions and the Pet Food
Express kick-off donation will be combined and then distributed equally to all participating organizations at the
end of the campaign. In-store contributors may choose at the time of check-out for their contribution to be divided
equally or to go to a single participating organization. Pet Food Express takes our responsibility to our customers
very seriously and 100% of your contributions will go directly to the nonprofit rescue and shelter partners to
purchase supplies from Pet Food Express for their pets. However, since Pet Food Express is not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization, customer contributions to Holiday Shopping Spree are not tax-deductible. If you wish to make a
tax-deductible gift, we recommend donating directly to one of our rescue and shelter partners. To see a full list of
