About The Manufacturer
Treat Planet was formed in 2009 by long-time friends and business partners, Sherry Huber and Doug Martin. The inspiration for their foray into dog treats came from their 2 pups, Harlow and Cosmo. Sherry and Doug decided to make treats that they would feel good about feeding their own dogs. So, they set out to make natural, healthy, and eco-friendly pet treats made and sourced in the USA. Doug and Sherry knew success wasn’t a solo adventure. So, they looked for ways they could give back to their community, humans and pets alike. One way is through Treat Planet’s partnership with 6 different sheltered workshops, including MERS Goodwill. These workshops collectively employ 150 people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities to label our Etta Says! Chews. These teams diligently work every day at whatever speed they are capable of working. This means every Etta Says! chew sold helps employ someone in a more accessible job. Today, Treat Planet is made up of 5 different treat brands: Etta Says!, Hare of the Dog, Snicky Snaks, Kitty Kitty, and Cosmo’s Snack Shack. Each of these brands has a different specialization, from human-grade jerky to freeze-dried cat treats to 100% rabbit recipes. However, all of these brands share one thing in common, a focus on simple recipes made with all-natural ingredients. We also pride ourselves on our focus on innovation, as we are constantly looking for new and unique products and merchandise to bring to the current pet market.
